However, if you choose to take or allow shortcuts then people will routinely ignore the rules and it will be generally harder to promote ethics here. You have to lead by example again here, and show them that there are other considerations beyond money and profits and not just say but act.

In all your promotional and even marketing materials, make sure that the ethical behavior that you are promoting is reflected. You need to show pretty much everyone that you are committed to building a more ethical family that you need them to be a part of. This also includes the people that you will be hiring, they need to be a team that can represent the ideas and convey the message out there. If you ignore the small lapses then there is a very high chance that you will be dealing with huge ones in the future. With the ethics as the heart of the business and you leading by example and doing what you are preaching and encouraging, there will be more productivity and everyone will be generally more happy.
